Number 140, is a 24 x 36 x 1.5 inch piece on a gallery profile canvas. It was inspired by reading the book titled, “The Nineties: A Book” by Chuck Klosterman. The piece contains several symbolic references including: 1 - the background is an homage to the shirt Kurt Cobain wore in the “Smells Like Teen Spirit” video, 2 - there are “9” faces representing the 9th decade of the 20th century and lastly, the “yellow” faces form an “X” symbolizing Generation X of which I am a part of.
