Number 231, “Poetic Catharsis” is a 30 x 24 x 1.5 inch gallery profile piece. Since the release of Taylor Swift’s, “The Tortured Poets Department: Anthology” on April 19, 2024, have I been listening to it a lot? The answer to that is probably, “yes”. In the title track there is a line in the song stating, “…. like, who uses typewriters anyway?”. Upon hearing that and several other references to typewriters, I knew I wanted to do one in my own way. The title suggests bleeding on the page in a poetic way can serve as a catharsis from which a person can then move on with their life.
